This K3 42° plate is compatible with K1-K4 hangers and is meant to be a low angle freeride / DH plate that leans like crazy for easier slides. It is 2mm taller than the 38°, 46°, or 50° and thus is best suited to the rear in a split set-up with a 46°, 48° or 50° in front.
