First time trying these- I wouldn't say they act like a sleeved washer, you can certainly feel the difference between other brands. I chose to up my Duro after trying the 85's (these came with my k5's)- I like a stiffer setup with predictable lean/ stop point- I'm 180lbs and these felt a little surfy even with an eliminator board side
