Due to greater than anticipated sales volume in the first week of operation, we are sold out of some product options. We have stock to fill some options (but we are out of raw 50 degree base plates, raw hangers and 186 mm axles). More is in the production stream. Anodized stock for both base plates and hangers should be available August 16. You can pre-pay to ensure your place in the queue for anodized product and for options that are in production. We have an all new design for both base plates and hangers that are lighter and more responsive. The trucks are ideal for both free riding and racing. The trucks are still “flippable” and are even smoother. The new model is called “The Answer”. I’m sure everyone who rides the previous model knows “The Question” but if you don’t, it is “How could the K1s be made any better”.

The improvements are:

1. Lighter weight and sleeker design
2. Higher precision machining in a 4 axis CNC
3. No hanger bite on either side of the flippable hanger
4. Larger radius for the kingpin.

Another change has happened to Aera Trucks that will affect sales to buyers in Canada. With the introduction of HST in BC and the increase in anticipated revenue, Aera Trucks is being dragged kicking and screaming into the world of a real company. That means we will have to start charging GST and HST to Canadian residents. Of course, if you were to buy through a dealer in Canada, you would be charged sales tax, including PST in provinces where it applies. It is still a small price to pay to ride on the world’s best trucks.
