The Aera K5 42° baseplate is more stable and lean oriented plate. If you plan on big and fast freeride runs, DH, or racing this is the plate that can go as fast as you want with tons of stability and it will lean like crazy for super smooth stand-up slides. K5 plates are NOT compatible with K1-K4.
